Czarnina Blood

This is how you obtain the blood from a duck.

  1. Add 4 Tablespoons of vinegar medium size jar.

  2. Put duck in jean pant leg with duck bill back.
  3. Trim the feathers on the top of head where the soft spot is with a sharp pair of sizzors to avoid getting feathers into the blood.

  4. Add 1 duck's blood to vinegar in Jar.

  5. Mix with knife

  6. Divide the 1 duck's blood/vinegar into two small jars.

  7. Put lid on the two small jars and use or freeze.

  8. Each jar makes one Czarnina batch.

    The last two times we made Czarnina we used two small jars for one batch of Czarnina (blood from 1 duck for 1 batch of czarnina)
